My Moon, My Man

I forgot how amazing Feist was until tonight when I was looking through my youtube favorites:

Feist shreds. Hard.
not insanely hard, but pretty hard for this song.

Adventures With Holga K200N

When I was back in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, I picked up a nifty little yellow Holga K200N (on sale!) back at UO @ Planet Hollywood!

I didn't think this cheap piece of plastic was capable of taking any good pictures, but I actually prefer the fisheye on this camera to the actual luomo fisheye camera!
So here are some random test-shots I've taken in the past week or so:

Get high, goodbye :)

Random (#4)

It's Tuesday night and I have absolutely nothing to do.
But then again, I haven't done all too much the last couple of nights either :(
And there hasn't been a meaningful celebrity death to date (knock on wood)..
So here goes Random #4!

shit, do I want some of these..

holy shit, I want this sign

Okay, so this post is a little overwhelming! Trust me, there's more where that came from, but I didn't wanna stretch it to Random #5, but I feel like I should've...
whatever!

The Worst And The Best

in the hospitals and jails
it's the worst
in madhouses
it's the worst
in penthouses
it's the worst
in skid row flophouses
it's the worst
at poetry readings
at rock concerts
at benefits for the disabled
it's the worst
at funerals
at weddings
it's the worst
at parades
at skating rinks
at sexual orgies
it's the worst
at midnight
at 3 a.m.
at 5:45 p.m.
it's the worst
falling through the sky
firing squads
that's the best
thinking of India
looking at popcorn stands
watching the bull get the matador
that's the best
boxed lightbulbs
an old dog scratching
peanuts in a celluloid bag
that's the best
spraying roaches
a clean pair of stockings
natural guts defeating natural talent
that's the best
in front of firing squads
throwing crusts to seagulls
slicing tomatoes
that's the best
rugs with cigarette burns
cracks in sidewalks
waitresses still sane
that's the best

my hands dead
my heart dead
silence
adagio of rocks
the world ablaze
that's the best
for me.

I might just have a new anthem, HAHA

Tenderlions (not Tenderloins)

Like I said a while back, circa my Yeah Yeah Yeahs post, I'm not much of a music-blogger; but when I see/hear something I like, I'm on it! Plus, these guys really need more blogs about them!

Straight outta the 415, San Francisco's own Tenderlions know what the fuck is up with beats, bounce, and drums. Their live sets are always on full blast with energy, getting even the smuggest Red-Stripe-hoisting hipsters in crowded venues up and on their fucking feet to rage!
(at least at the last 2 shows I've been to)
They haven't failed to deliver the noise, and I garauntee you they won't fail to make you sweat your brains out.

I (sortof, kindof) remember the first time I've seen the Tenderlions live at Blow Up exactly a month ago, and boy was it insaaaaane! Admittedly, I was pretty fucked up that whole night and can vaguely remember much of what happened, but I can honestly say that I remember going nuts during their set. I wasn't mentally prepared for them to completely blow my mind with their clever remixes of the classic House of Jealous Lovers and Shimmy Shimmy Ya (which was ama-zing!), but they did.
Here's a taste of that night:

So good!

And of course the last time I saw them was at the BFD pre-party! Another video of their performance that night surfaced, so I thought I'd share so we can play a game of "spot me!" hahahah! As stated in my previous blog about the pre-party, it's safe to say that their set was a major part in the insanity that was my night that night. So much sweating and dancing and hand-clapping involved! And a guy in a fucking lion suit! A LION SUIT. Yes, a lion suit. Amazing.

The track playing in the vid is one of my favorites by the Tenderlions called "Karate Chop"
Check it out on their page!
And keep your eyes and ears peeled for these boys, they're doing shit BIG.

San Francisco, I Love You. (Random #3?)

All I have to say say is:
God, I fucking love San Francisco.
Random (#3)!

if you're gay or not, Trigger is definitely a fun bar to get sauced up at

I actually miss my old living space. This is the catastrophe that was me trying to pack, but we managed to get sidetracked by boozing ourselves up at our friend Andrew's house. Shit. The mayhem began the morning after when I was furiously packing seconds before I shipped out.

To kickoff my summer, I didn't smoke mad weed, I got my wisdom teef pulled. So shitty (but I struck it rich in the vicodin lottery; amazing!). I didn't think I would heal in time for the insanity the was to come the week after.
(See Below.)

I think this is the part of the blog where I'm officially at a loss for words. So I'll try really really hard to sum it up the best I humanly can:

Yessssss, the BFD Pre-Party.

.. And to set it off ;)

Tenderlions, amazing as always.
(Spot me behind Evan, hahaha)

Darling Steve.
"Yeeeeah, Aoki!" hahaha

Literally right in front of Asian Jesus. Right there.
(managed to catch flashes with my cameraphone hahahaha)

Drunk as shit, drugged as shit. Danced the shit outta my feet, raged and raged hard, and sweat until I couldn't sweat no more. Woke up with crazy bruises, a sticker, and a bottle of Goose; worth every fucking second.

Hopefully more visuals of this night surface somewhere on the internet sometime soon, but for the time being I've still got my brain.

Can't wait until we meet again.
Until then, we've got lettuce!
And leftover vicodin.

I Wanna Live In Your House

I don't know if my Summer fever is kicking in, but lately I've been having these urges to sloth myself on a couch and smoke copious amounts of weed, "ALL DAY, ERRR DAY!"
(please refer to this cult favorite)

Why, might you ask?
Why the fuck not?
But seeing that I still have one more week left for finals, I'm practically fucked. It makes me sad, but I've been listening to reggae non-stop like I'm going to school at UC Santa Cruz (though I still wish I was smoking like a UCSC student).

I'm feeling a little better about studying, since this cover of Steel Pulse's "Your House" is calming my nerves:

It's so amazing, backup vocals, groupie, and all. Did I mention his kids are the cutest fucking things on the planet?!

Spaspabadabaspaspaaaaah..

I can't wait for Summer.

IV XX

4//20 was pretty much an epic fail, but a very delicious and weed-filled fail.
I obviously can't roll blunts sober, I can't take directions too well despite me living here for how long now?, and I still can't stand smelly people in buses, especially when it's 90 degrees and everyone's sweating profusely! And we missed 4:20. Really? Really.

I mean, I was high pretty much all day,
but the fail is that I was high at all hours but 4:20! Fuck.

The Geary Girls (with the exception of Katrina! P.S. we missed you!) and I were still onboard the bus to Hippie Hill, but the clock hit 4:20 before we could even get there, and we got all depressed. I was pretty much willing to spark it on the bus, but mind me that I didn't feel like getting muni-policed today.
But nevertheless! We had a very nice skin/lung-cancer fest.
It was so fucking hot outside and we had enough to smoke and too much sun to tan in, and then I decided to purchase peanut butter cups from a vendor. Sooooooooo gooooooood.

I will admit that I'm still high. Yum.

Random (#2)

MMM, another yummy random post!

hmm, where to begin...

let's see,
It was after I had my daily fix of The Boobs during the yawn-fest that is Biology that I doodled this on my laptop. This post made me do it! And of course, love for The Boobs made me do it as well.

I also have a new crush,

and that is Jay Baruchel.
(with Kat Dennings (via Nick&Norah'sInfinitePlaylist), who is pre-tty smokin' hot, but that's another story)
I was watching Knocked Up the other day, and I think that's where it all began? Then I found out he hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids with Elisha Cuthbert. CUTE.
What can I say, I've got a thing for tall, lanky Canadians. He's just so damn cute.

cute. cute. cute!

Hmm...
Gemma Ward is cute as well, but so's the dress. I remember seeing it on M. Coop circa The OC (yesyesyes, I am a guilty of being a dedicated OC viewer). Soooo good.

AND THESE! THESE I've been lusting after these shoes since Marie Antoinette, aaaaaaaahajshfakjsha!
In black please :)

Aside from the fierce kicks,
is this fierce bitch.
I was watching Superjail! again, and I just thought that the Mistress of "Ultraprison" was pretty much amazing.

Sleep is pretty amazing too.

Gooooodnight !
