+ - × ÷

I'm pretty sure you all know that I SUCK at math.
If you don't know that, then you at least have to know that I am a sorry excuse for an Asian, because I'm the only Asian on the planet that sucks at math.
Shitty.

But good thing there's a site that makes math so much simpler and relative!

still 18

"Drinking is an emotional thing. It joggles you out of the standardism of everyday life, out of everything being the same. It yanks you out of your body and your mind and throws you against the wall. I have the feeling that drinking is a form of suicide where you're allowed to return to life and begin all over the next day. It's like killing yourself, and then you're reborn. I guess I've lived about ten or fifteen thousand lives now."

Random (#1)

Stuff I like, right now :)

I'm pretty sure there are going to be more posts like this because I have a really hard time staying un-distracted and an even harder time actually doing my homework.

In the backseat

in a nutshell

It's another one of those days

Again.

But this time it's Sunday, so I couldn't care less.

I'm tired as fuck. Last night was fun though.
Life-or-death decisions involving a nightclub are the best.
Shitty Nights, I mean City Nights, is actually an okay club... when you're fucked up. Everything is always better when you're fucked up.
hahahahahaha
Can't wait for glossy photos of myself to surface on the internet. Yay.

Back to Sunday, I'm just trying to do my homework, and I'm failing miserably at it.
I guess my "all business weekend" didn't go according to plan... even if I got plenty of business done at the club-- wink wink wink, HA.
Kidding, of course.

You guys should really check out Scanwiches on Tumblr (I really want a Tumblr now, but I guess I'll stick to Blogspot).

I think I'm going to go do my homework now... or distract myself with more sites like Scanwiches.
Bye :)

Gloomy

Today is one of those days where it doesn't exactly look the shittiest, it's just really grey/gray, like it's going to rain but it's not. This should be reason enough for me not to go out, but I'm really sick of bumming around my apartment, sitting in bed watching videos on vimeo that make me wish I were outside. Like, reeeeeeeeeeeally wish I were outside.
But I did say I wanted to stay in for the weekend to catch up on homework.
Fuuuuuuck.
It's Saturday, and I should be roaming like I usually do.

And I want nothing more than to be here:

And I want to have fun, like this:

Ugh, it's all so depressing !
Someone save me !

fixxxies

As we all know, or may not know, the track bike, or fixed gear/fixie, scene has blown up here in SF.
It's good to know dudes in spandex or Tour de France dudes with testicular cancer aren't the only ones that can ride a fixie.

A long while back, a friend introduced me to a video by Macaframa.

Check it out:

I'm not sure if they're a bike crew, or a filming crew, or both. I think they're both.
They have movie out (if I'm not mistaken), and the vids they have up on vimeo are teasers for their movie.
A lot of their filming is smooth (as opposed to most fixie film-work) and their choice in soundtrack is just as good.

Anyway, I just thought it was pretty amazing/ridiculous what you can do with a full-sized bike with no brakes (as opposed to BMX bikes).

I guess I've picked up an interest in fixies, even though they are overrated, and sure it's just a bunch of hipster kids on 2 wheels; but I can be shallow and say I dig dudes on nice bikes... but I'm not! Okay, maybe.

oui oui, macaron

Not to be confused with macarooooooons.
I'm not one for coconut confections, but I'm definitely one for these.

I stumbled upon a pastry chef by the name of Pierre Herme a couple of minutes ago while checking up on The Selby.

I'm guessing he is a world-renowned pastry chef, with his own book and all:
But why wouldn't he be? All of his little macarons are like pieces of ART. Like they're made by a confectionery GOD ! or something like that..

They're so colorful and cute and fluffy !
Like you just want to have a tea party.
I don't think I would be able to eat one if given the chance. They're too pretty to eat, but damn do they look tasty.

Though it looks like they're too far out of reach for me, with bakery locations in Paris and Japan.. boo-hoo :(

SO I guess this is the part where we just indulge in pictures of these little bitches.

Oh how I lust for them.

But in all seriousness, I think I would just about die if I was handed a box of these. Actually, if someone took me on a field-trip to Paris to visit a Pierre Herme bakery, I would seriously die.
Okay, I would probably die just by being in Paris, but whatever.

I'm seriously considering saving up 50 + dollars for this book so I can learn how to make them.
And I will make a shitload of them.

Can't STOP

Apparently I'm so bored that I just keep posting more and more content onto this thing and I have no fucking friends yet. What the fuck.
I need to do this paper.
I NEED TO DO THIS PAPER.

but watch this video first.

DGENERATE NATION - Skate With Me from DGENETICS on Vimeo.

It's Blitz !

okay, so it took me like a minute to figure out what to post in the middle of the night (when I'm really supposed to be working on a 6-page essay).

I thought talking about the NEW! :

YEAH YEAH YEAHS / IT'S BLITZ

would be SO much better.

I know, I know, I am a horrible YYY's fan to have downloaded the album, but it leaked and I couldn't resist! It is out on iTunes right now, but I am waiting for the CD (that I'm actually going to purchase), so don't get your panties twisted just yet.

Anyway, I have to say it is fucking amazing.
It's nothing like Fever To Tell,
if anything, it's a lot less grime and a lot more "Maps"

I'm not sure how to explain it, but you can definitely bake cookies to this CD.

Here's some tracks:

You can sortof hear a little bit of Cansei de Ser Sexy in this track.

And this one has to be my favorite track.

That's pretty much it.
Don't expect a music post like this from me on the daily. I'm not the music-blog type of person, seriously. I just really love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs is all :)

I think this has to be the most informative post I've ever made in a blog, ever.
EVER.

Oh, of course I couldn't leave you without a video as well
(This whole video was shot here in good ol' San Francisco !) :)

Hello,

My name is Hana, and I'm an alcoholic.

Now what the fuck does an alcoholic do on Blogspot?
