oui oui, macaron

Not to be confused with macarooooooons.
I'm not one for coconut confections, but I'm definitely one for these.

I stumbled upon a pastry chef by the name of Pierre Herme a couple of minutes ago while checking up on The Selby.

I'm guessing he is a world-renowned pastry chef, with his own book and all:
But why wouldn't he be? All of his little macarons are like pieces of ART. Like they're made by a confectionery GOD ! or something like that..

They're so colorful and cute and fluffy !
Like you just want to have a tea party.
I don't think I would be able to eat one if given the chance. They're too pretty to eat, but damn do they look tasty.

Though it looks like they're too far out of reach for me, with bakery locations in Paris and Japan.. boo-hoo :(

SO I guess this is the part where we just indulge in pictures of these little bitches.

Oh how I lust for them.

But in all seriousness, I think I would just about die if I was handed a box of these. Actually, if someone took me on a field-trip to Paris to visit a Pierre Herme bakery, I would seriously die.
Okay, I would probably die just by being in Paris, but whatever.

I'm seriously considering saving up 50 + dollars for this book so I can learn how to make them.
And I will make a shitload of them.
